This site is dedicated to providing information regarding
the use of red light cameras in the city of Brunswick, GA.
First, let's
get one thing clear: The author of this site in no way supports
running red lights or otherwise breaking traffic law and putting people's lives
in danger. While I consider it dubious as to whether or not these cameras will
do what they are advertised to do, if they are helpful in modifying the behavior
of the dangerous drivers out there, then I think they are great.
On the
other hand, if the reason that Brunswick has decided to use these cameras is for
money making from fines collected, that is another story all together and is the
purpose of this site. "Sed qu is custodiet ipsos custodies," or "But who is
watching the watchers?" It is my sincere hope that the City of Brunswick
will not turn
these cameras into a money making scheme, but if they decide to
do so, the alarm will be sounded.
